It's completely fake, dude.

With your email address and mnemonic, the recipient will wipe out your blockchain.info wallet.

You can also prove it's fake by looking at the headers of the email. You'll see that it was not sent from an actual blockchain.info mail server.

Each of them has created large quantifiable financial losses for people who had relied on their assertions and now they want to shove that responsibility off onto another entity.  I'd love to see even a redacted version of the Cease and Desist letter either of these exchanges received.  Because, I don't believe one exists.  They've scared themselves out of doing something that they should have known was scary to do in the first place.

This is a pertinent question. Where is the cease and desist? This shutdown was prompted by something, so where is the correspondence? Why are people content for Ukyo to not give any details about this

I feel sorry for all those left holding the bag.

The gullible in Bitcoin and the scammers in Bitcoin certainly attract each other.

Wouldn't the biggest red flag here have been that nobody with a known identity was ever confirmed as being part of Labcoin's management?

Two questions:

1. Has Labcoin demonstrated that they are hashing with their own chips rather than purchased equipment from another company?

2. If they are not hashing with their own chips, would that contradict what they said they would be doing by this date?

It seems you are one of those that needs to pile onto someone when they appear weak or unable to defend themselves...Your assumptions are false, and your insinuations only reveal to those that know whats really going on that you are a weak minded individual looking for attention and a lynch mob...You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Joe has always proven to be an honest person.....for those of you who have rigs with him or loose ends... you can PM me for more info. I have the list of customers, please don't waste your time PMing me if you are not an actual customer.

It was and is very appropriate to point out these problems so that people know better than to invest in or buy from any of zif33rs' operations, like the one he tried to set up at litecoinglobal after the unsuccessful attempt with CoinTerra at btct.co.

It's most interesting that you attack personally rather than admit there have been serious problems with how zif33rs has done business. Look at the complaints in this thread. Where were you when people were trying to call and email him for what looks like over a week? Where were you while the HOSTEDMINING application still sits at litecoinglobal.com for more votes while zif33rs is not to be found?

He doesn't return, and instead someone with an unknown relationship with him shows up over a week later and claims to speak on his behalf, and the first thing they do is smear people who try to help track down a potential scammer? At the very least, we do now know it was deliberate unethical behavior, since you are here on his behalf but apparently he, you and nobody else were requested by him to directly phone/email or reply here since his disappearance.

BroadwayDraw, you and zif33rs both manifestly have a problem taking responsibility for unethical behavior.

You can say he has always been honest, but this behavior has been unethical, unless you believe that someone who holds people's assets has no obligations. Can you and zif33rs say that he fulfilled his obligations by not proactively informing people what was happening, and further remaining silent in the face of all the contact attempts by phone and email mentioned in this thread?

It's things like this that give Bitcoin a bad name. It says a lot about your lack of common decency and good will when the first response is not an apology on zif33r's behalf, but rather an attack and implying nothing wrong was done.

I don't need to waste my time further when the point of exercising judgment before investing in people with unethical behavior has been made. So if all you respond with is more irresponsible distancing of zif33rs from his actions with no explanation, I won't be replying. You should really spend your time on the issues mentioned above with zif33rs' customers and potential investors, such as withdrawing the litecoinglobal asset from voting.

Wow.

I was watching the securities thread last month when zif33rs was trying to raise funds for that big Cointerra buy.

Now that I see this thread in Services, I'm glad I didn't invest in any of his ventures. It looks like he tried to start
another one on litecoinglobal / btct.co after the first attempt was unsuccessful.

Now I guess we know why he was so eager to raise funds. He was trying to keep his house or something?
I'm sure that the investors would have been informed of that use of their funds, right?

I feel sorry for those who have assets tied up with the Silent One.

MsCollec's history reveals an even earlier date of business with zif33rs:  June 07, 2013.
My decision to purchase the rig was due to your quick, accurate, and competent response to my technical question. I look forward buying more rig from you. Thanks once again zif

cptmooseinc, I have some info that may be useful in tracking him down.

I will private message you.

No use letting the Silent One, who is reading these forums, know what is known about him.

One thing that will help Yacoin is having a decent marketplace.
Currently, is there any one-stop location to look for people buying and selling with YAC?
We have trading for other crypto currencies, but there really needs to be a marketplace so people can do more with the coin.

There was a spreadsheet at one point. Is that all there is yet?

Is this subforum also able to be used?

If someone is looking to spend their YAC or has something he or she would like to try quickly selling with YAC, the overhead to put the item up should be very low, to encourage use beyond trading.

Yac does fit the need for miners who want an alternative to the GPU and ASIC rush.
Mining has been growing according to the recent network hashrate.

Plenty of people have acquired it through mining or trading.

Now let's make the Yac they've obtained work for them beyond speculation.

If Alice wants to sell an ebook for Yac, where would she go? If Bob wants to buy a Steam game for Yac, where would he go?

You probably work for a living and have acquired some useful skills, e.g. writing or HTML coding.

Try offering these services online in exchange for payment in Bitcoin.

Yacoin is a coin that was released last month that is meant to be CPU mined, rather than depend on GPU or ASICs. The hash algorithm it uses has memory requirements that remove the normal advantages of GPUs and ASICs.

It's a young coin, but to some of us, it stands out above the recent crop of coins in that it has more thought and planning behind it. Too many of the recent altcoins look like they were released for quick attempts at pump and dump.

I don't know if this site is being updated, but here's some info: http://yacoin.org/

Also, this thread in the Alternate cryptocurrencies forum has recent info.

Hi, similar story here. Have read the forums off and on, and would like to get involved with crypto currencies more.

I'm interested mostly in Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Yacoin (YAC).

Welcome to the forum!
