Hey!

Thanks!

Is there a way to reset the graphing for the static site?  I love the graphs!!!  Smiley
The static graphs are generated by index.php on each page load.
The source from which the graphs are generated is a round robin file "populated" by a cronjob that runs each 5 minutes.
So, possible causes for static graphs to show 0:
  • /opt/minepeon/etc/cron.d/5min permissions were changed (should be 770 minepeon.http)
  • /opt/minepeon/etc/cron.d/5min/hashrate permissions were changed (should be 770 minepeon.http)
  • /opt/minepeon/etc/cron.d/5min/hashrate was removed (look it up on github)
  • cronjob was removed?

Code:
Aug 27 15:45:55 minepeon systemd[1]: PID file /run/httpd/httpd.pid not readable (...t.

Thanks for your kind help and support, yxzq.
You're welcome :-)

I encountered a similar error and just confirmed that this adjustment is missing in v0.2.3
This is the solution:
https://gist.github.com/thgh/6330000#start-apache-on-boot

You might have to disable/stop httpd.service first.

First of all: for those who use early builds, read this:
https://gist.github.com/thgh/6364973

But... to edit any pool, I have to delete it and make new pool entry...  Sad
Is it because de Save pools button disappears?
Are there any fields marked red?

Question: What is 'Enable Remote control' option for?
A new feature that we would like to build. It will upload the stats to a remote server, so you can check up on minepeon at anywhere anytime.
If that works out, the settings and restart stuff might also come available.

Also, on the RPI with newer Arch Linux and from time to time, the live graphics go down and stay @ 0 Hash/s for some time. Reloading doesn't fix it. The other RPI always show live graphics.
Looking at the screenshot, it seems like apache/httpd is down. When an error occurs while trying to refresh the status, the status is not updated but the title should become [OFF]. I should make this more clear in the interface. Because now it looks like everything is normal.
How long does this command take and what's the output?
Code:
sudo systemctl status httpd.service

Any chance there will be coming an new version of Minepeon this upcoming week?
Probably not.

I still can see my Pools @ main page, but @ Miner page, the Pool only has empty. I still can't modify my pools.
Thanks for bug testing :-)

I am now making a button that fixes the problem. Should be working by tonight.

Yep, the problem is the browser. I'm using Chrome @ my MacBook (OS X) and my laptop (Windows Cool.

With Firefox 22.0, I can see the Live hashrate. WOW, lovely. Let's try with IE... ok, doesn't work also with IE 10.0.9200.16600.
win7: ie,ff and chrome work

it could be this bug
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17333615/highcharts-crashing-crhome

UPDATE: Strangely, after going to 'Settings' and 'Miner', the graphics were gone also with Firefox.
This could be an error because of a missing file, but I can't reproduce it here.

Added a link to the old graphs: they are generated each time that page is loaded. After visiting it, you can go back and the graphs will also be updated there. A more elegant solution is for later.

Last version of MinePeon  @ GitHub doesn't have graphics? I tried to modify 'Graph points' followed by 'Save settings', but it keeps giving no graphics. I did loved the old version, with Advanced option.  Grin In both RPI's, Uptime 13h 59s 52s
What OS/browser are you using?
Do you mind sending me /var/log/httpd/error.log?
Is there any error in your browser console?

On the github version:
Graphs, maybe highcharts is not compatible, that would be no fun. I'm adding the normal graphs now.
Pools, there are two new files created: miner.pools.json and miner.options.json, these are perfectly compatible with angular. These files are loaded in the miner section. When saved, these files change AND get merged into a cgminer compatible miner.conf  So check if those files exist and mod (660) and if /opt/minepeon/etc is mod (770)

Can Minepeon listen on a different port instead of :443 or :80 ?  Can it be set up to first request credentials BEFORE it displays the MINEPEON splash page?  We don't want any intruders knowing what they've come across do we?  Smiley
You can change the port like this:

Code:
sudo nano /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

It's a line that says: "Listen 80", change it and then restart apache:

Code:
sudo systemctl restart httpd

Remove index.html and the splash page won't show :-)

Could I just install another instance of CG Miner or can I do the overclock of a specific rig while not affecting all rigs?
Or would it be better/simpler to get another Raspberry Pi?
Each instance of cgminer listen on a port for commands. And MinePeon only listens to the default. So the web interface will not show both. But it's possible to run one instance "under the hood".

It would be possible to add a setting in the GUI on which port to listen and then you could switch. Maybe an incoming feature. But probably not. Buy another rpi.

When I try this, the minepeon web interface just says that cgminer is down.

Did you reboot?  I often find I have to reboot between miner switchs.

Neil

I did reboot.  This is in the new 0.2.3 minepeon version.  Would that make any difference?

By the way, I admire the work that you're doing here.  It's a great service to the Bitcoin mining community.
The "cgminer is down" message is shown when no pools are loaded. I haven't used and tested bfgminer so I'm curious where it breaks.

Maybe bfgminer handles the api a little differently?
Do your devices and pools show up?

How to update or backup form minepeon 0.2.2? I would like to keep statistics.
For stats only: Copy the contents of /opt/minepeon/var and /opt/minepeon/http/rrd
For pools: Copy this file: /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf
For settings: Copy this file: /opt/minepeon/etc/minepeon.conf

Copy them to your computer and replace them on a SD with the newest release.

***** ATTENTION WEBUI DEVELOPER********
I used the no color settings page and got locked out of WEBUI

That's a bug indeed. Try to login and leave the password empty.

You can still set the password with the advanced page.

Edit: Ive updated cgminer to 3.3.4 and now it shows BTB device ok so just need to add avalon arg. Where?
Code:
/opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf
Add this:
"avalon-auto":"",

Additionally, what is the critical CPU temp? I have heatsinks attached. Without the case, the temp reported in WebUI is 46C, with the case 54C.
Max 80 or something. Mine runs often around 45, without case.

And another question/remark: Cgminer runs at 84% with 30 BEs according to 'top'. However, WebUI reports 424% load. Why is that?
It's a built-in php function that estimates the number of processes in the system run queue. It's not so problematic to go over 100. I have never seen it go above 250 so 400 seems high :-p
See http://php.net/manual/en/function.sys-getloadavg.php

Minepeon will not update anything on the settings page - am stuck in Africa killing kittens

Chances are you can solve it with this:

Can i change a const in cgminer in minepeon? Its the maximum voltage for bitburners i want to change. I didnt test minepeon yet but it sounds like its ready to run so i dont know how far i can change the sourcecode and compile it.

The next version will make that easy.

But for version 0.2.2, add a setting in /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf like:
"bitburner-voltage" : 5
Then restart the miner and it will load the new config.

Nice!
These permission settings will probably have to be done too after git pull:

(first sudo su)

Code:
mkdir /opt/minepeon/etc/backup
chmod 660 $(find /opt/minepeon/etc -type f)
chmod 770 $(find /opt/minepeon/etc -type d)
chmod 770 $(find /opt/minepeon/var -type d)
chmod -R 777 /opt/minepeon/etc/backup
chown -R http.http /opt/minepeon/etc

mkdir /opt/minepeon/http/rrd/ /opt/minepeon/http/phpliteAdmin/
chmod -R 770 /opt/minepeon/http/rrd/ /opt/minepeon/http/phpliteAdmin/
chown -R minepeon.http /opt/minepeon/http/rrd/ /opt/minepeon/http/phpliteAdmin/

And passwd will only change the password, not really reset it Smiley

To the people that are testing by pulling from git:

The backup page has a new button to export settings as .zip, therefore you must install "zip" first:
Code:
sudo pacman -S zip

Any news about some sort of exporting the settings outside of the SD (perhaps to a pen connected to one of the HUB's) to import in a fresh SD with new version of MinePeon?

There is a folder on the sd that contains backups. It will be possible to restore these stored backups.
It's already possible to export these backups in a zip file.

Restoring backed up settings at this moment is possible by copying the contents of a backup to /opt/minepeon/ (with FTP for example)
By tonight I will try to implement it in the GUI. The button is there, but its disabled Smiley
