Matt I had the same problem few months ago, and I solved using the files digit has uploaded. Bootstrap and blockindex.
I think that an new upload should solve the problem. If digit can up a new version of files, it would be great.

Anyway, from previous post I read that digit is able to sync his wallet...

Yes, It seems impossible to sync the wallet... and therefore it's impossible to exchange this coin...
If someone can help us, it would be great. Please dev release a fix
