We have another newcomer to wafflepool:

im proud to announce the open beta of
http://multipool.bit.diamonds/
the ticket/lottery system will follow when open beta ends
but beside that its full functional u will earn diamonds already
finally a way earn diamonds with ur sha256 and scrypt asics too

lol, geez.

So the question is, do you block people who do this, or allow it?

The new thing
https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/fresh

15% less power than X11. Similar hash speed to X13 (as far as I judge from other rig names).

(Not tried yet)

What is "the next thing"? x15?

Aimed one of my GPUs to x13. So far so good with the latest RC2 drivers and sgminer 5 beta showing 2.5 Mh/s.

Code:
sgminer --algorithm x13mod --hamsi-expand-big 1 --no-adl -I 18 -g 2 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 8192 -o stratum+tcp://uswest.wafflepool.com:3330 -u XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX -p d=0.008 -o stratum+tcp://useast.wafflepool.com:3330 -u XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX -p d=0.008

Just want to throw a big thank you out here to all of the people talking about the new AMD drivers and new SGminer version out, in particular utahjohn. I've upgraded my linux rigs to the 14.6 drivers, updated my sgminer, tweaked my settings and overlocking and it's increased my hash rate on x11 by almost 50% over what I was getting before. Seriously... HUGE difference. Thanks a ton!!

Indeed much thanks to Utahjohn.

question about average payouts per mh

first - I think it's great they post their daily payout averages for mh - most multipools do not or are afraid to.

second: is it really accurate?

You can compare your numbers with Suchmoon's charts.

I'm liking X11. Same profitability more or less, but less power usage as it is getting warmer here in SoCal.

Mining x13 in www.coinking.io multipool seems to be giving higher profitability then other pool.

Mining X11 coins on this pool is shit, not sure how you think X13 would fair better when I get these results..

I switched over to this pool last night at approx 8pm, time now is 10:40am next morning.

14 hours of mining at approx 100MH has made made approx $10.00

If I mined Darkcoin straight out I would of earned 0.031BTC ( $19.34) that is almost DOUBLE!!!

My rigs were online 24/7, no downtime....

Coinking by its own posting right now only profits BTC/MH/Day: 0.00094150, which is average once you normalize, I believe.

I left the gpu-threads alone from the old scrypt file, where 280x needed 2, and most other cards 1.  Should I change them all to 2?  Or 4?  Not sure how this works in X11.  What about recommended intensities for these cards?  Also, I didn't specify the difficulty in the password, and it's automatically been set at 0.160.

With the 280x and 270x you probably should try more gpu-threads, not sure about 7950, I'm running it myself with gpu-threads 1

Try higher intensities. 15-16 with gpu-threads > 1, 19-20 with gpu-threads 1.

You should get > 3 MH/s for the 280x, > 2.6 MH/s for the 7950.

Thanks. Your tips helped me as well.

Do you know if CPU miners are profitable with X11 due to lower power usage or are you just experimenting for the heck of it?

Here is some math I did a while ago for an i7-4771. Older CPUs lacking AVX/AES instruction sets will perform a lot worse.

Hashrate using all 8 cores: ~0.3 MH/s
Power consumption: ~70W, 1.68 kWh per day
Cost per MH/s per day at 0.1 USD per kWh: 0.56 USD

Now if you look at Waffle's recent X11 profitability, it's around 0.0007 BTC (I hope I got the zeros right) or 0.45 USD per day.

To break even you'd need to earn > 0.0009 BTC per MH/s, or have access to < 0.08 USD/kWh electricity.

EDIT: just to emphasize the scale: even if you had free energy you'd be making 15 cents per day on a $300 CPU.

Thanks!

Nice! found a CPU miner for X11 on Core2 Quad Q6600:

Do you know if CPU miners are profitable with X11 due to lower power usage or are you just experimenting for the heck of it?

Don't know ... might as well as the CPU's are not doing anything else but running sgminer and seems to have no impact on GPU mining.  X11 definitely more profitable Smiley

I was more referring to the power usage vs. profit ratio. Unfortunately "not doing anything" isn't a good approach these days as profits seem so thin.

Gridseed mined @ waffle

When I got them, the setup already had wafflepool.  Maybe they moved to somewhere else.  But regardless, going down from average 0.005 to 0.003 is a drop which made me consider alternatives.  I really don't like to mine coins on my own and do the trading, but sometimes it makes up for it.

Gotta love the "Kickstarter scam". Get a bunch of people to fund your own development, make bank using it, delay the product a few times, but eventually deliver once it is finally not worth it.

Tis Clever, if nothing else. :/

Notice he didn't point out a single thing that I have said that is wrong.  If it's in the thread history, why isn't he quoting it?

Simply because I do not care to educate you as it is not my burden to bear.  You may continue wallowing in blissful ignorance if you so choose, and it is perfectly fine by me.  And that you have also reached an incorrect conclusion as to why I did not bother to quote history in order to prove you wrong is in itself amusing.

Others here have already pointed out flaws in some of your arguments, but you were yelling too loudly to hear them.

Do you argue with everyone you meet in life?

You oversimplified your example to the point of eliminating units of representation thereby eliminating the possibility of being able to see how the the time scale units could be combined and factored.  But I understand your position...  You want to be right even if you're not correct.

I do often wonder about your kind. Well played with the grammar mistake, all the same.

And as for zSprawl, on his order of operations argument and retarded analogy proving absolutely nothing...

You are correct that a specific order of operations in the denominator would be necessary if the denominator still contained an irreducible operation.  But what you failed to realize is that both Day in the numerator of the larger fraction and s in the denominator of the larger fraction are both units of time in different scales, and 1 Day always equals 86400 seconds.  So either time unit contained in the denominators of the smaller fractions can be rewritten to share a time scale with the other, and the larger fraction can be further reduced to a point at which there is no operation remaining its denominator because time can be factored outside of it, hence order of operation restrictions would no longer apply as there are no operations remaining in the denominator of the larger fraction.  Do it if you don't believe me because I know you won't want to.

I failed at nothing other than getting you realize your not always right, but hey... comeonalready!
