If you take the list of different stablecoins, most of them are based on Ethereum. Moreover, most of cryptocurrencies at all are based on it.

All cryptocurrency projects depend from market conditions of cryptocurrency market and the price of Bitcoin. If price of Bitcoin falls the price of other altcoins falls too.

A lot of depends from the quality of the project and its development. There are a lot of projects that do not develop.
