Thank you for the answer. Are you sure this is how it works? For example I use Nordvpn and it says they do not offer port forwarding.

no this is for the S9 only  not the S9i S9j

The update is very small.. as in it just adds the AsicBoost feature. You can upgrade S9i as well. I confirm it works, I don't own an S9j but I assume it's the same.

I fixed this issue using AwesomeMiner (paid software) and created a rule to restart the miner if these 2 conditions were met:

-Lower than 13.3TH/s AVG (for 13.5 s9) and lower than 13.8TH/s AVG (for 14th S9)
-More than 500 Accepted shares (so the miner has time to warm up and reach stable avg speed, or else the software restarts the miner prematurely)

znd@znd-desktop:~/lightning/lightning$ ./lightningd --alias=znd --rgb=42f459 --network=bitcoin  --bitcoin-datadir ~/.bitcoin --log-level=debug
bash: ./lightningd: Is a directory

if someone can dm me if he has 5 mins I can share teamviewer credentials to get this running. I would appreciate it a lot

Some basic linux proficiency is required. When they say you should have the good sense to omit the <> symbols. Try this:

Code:
lightningd --alias=znd --rgb=42f459 --network=bitcoin  --bitcoin-datadir ~/.bitcoin --log-level=debug

Also bitcoind has to be synchronized. Has it downloaded all 180GB of the blockchain?

I am not linux savy but thank you for replying. Doing my best to make this work without having the technical skills and feel so appreciative when someone answers one of many my noob questions.

1.When I typed that I get:
znd@znd-desktop:~/lightning/lightning$ lightningd --alias=znd --rgb=42f459 --network=bitcoin  --bitcoin-datadir ~/.bitcoin --log-level=debug
lightningd: command not found

2.what is the difference between bitcoind and the core? bitcoin core is fully synchronised and both ways connections.

I'm sure these are silly questions.. but I really want to make the server working

figured I had to use ./configure

now stuck here:

~/lightning$ lightningd --alias= --rgb=<#42f459> --network=bitcoin --lightning-dir= --bitcoin-datadir <~/.bitcoin/> --log-level=debug
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'

In the long run wouldn't the B2 miner be more profitable? Let's say after the difficulty spikes because of the new miners. Thinking 2-3 years ahead.

what other suggested for me was that I left the pool 2 and 3 with the bitmain servers. it connected to those from time to time. now I deleted those and all works well. Check that

Thank you for your answers. So why does it disconnect? Is it a problem with the pool? With my internet connection? should I actually find a second pool there ?

From my understandings the power provider has 230V. Could this affect?
