wow i was trying to guess the answer using a formula i learned in film school, its way off from what you guys have.  i was thinking along the lines of volts * watts= amps so v*1250= (substitute wither 15 or 20 for amps) so 83.333*1250=15amps with 120v lines you should be ok right?
thats what 26k in student debt with 1 lighting class and a rip off the bong gets ya.

does anyone have any other possible solutions to this? im practically banging my head against the wall on this one.

1) check what you use "miner" login and password, not your account credentials
2) probably you under firewall/proxy with blocked connection to 8332 port.
it was a total doh on my part, i switched to dmz mode and double checked my login and pw, probably a problem with my router. Its working now, thanks for the help

for phoenix
 phoenix.exe -u http://user@user:pass@btcmine.com:8332/ -k poclbm DEVICE=0 AGGRESSION=3

also using gui miner: device 0 (the gpu) and -v -w 128 -f60

using similar command lines for the poclbm command line version

ive tried using btcmine, just tried slushpool and have allready tried deepbit

cannot connect to rpc server?

hi,  im using pocnlm- gui miner the miner was working fine for awhile, sometime last night my system reset and now whenever i run the miner i get a cannot connect to bitcoin rpc server.  the exact error message is ", Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC"
Ive tried using different mining pools/servers and different miner clients and each time i get this same error.

i currently have the standard bitcoin client running on generate coins (using cpu) and it is working fine, i have also double checked the firewall to make sure ports 8332 to 8334 were open.
