Awaiting CanadianBitcoins to send over the coins.
Yes, would like to get TCC back in action. Still working out a claim with ehbuygold but not hopeful, so I scrounged and just funded it myself. Starting it again.

Whenever I get back to soviet canuckastan will update all threads. No longer have to rely on middlemen (i was taking LR payments before, no longer).

Re: Porting Bitcoind to OpenBSD
by

on 20/06/2012, 19:24:23 UTC
Bumping this because this guy's method still works for OpenBSD 5.0 + latest bitcoind source
Probably should put it in the bitcoin wiki or possibly on the main bitcoin.org page

Contacted some pkg maintainers they may throw it into the cvs tree after some auditing. Great success
Its already in the ports tree

Req 5 btc for 24hrs. Repayment 6btc (:
1NCa9aURyRBuU8Z2KYcTzGopeAsbsHccKH

Payment is for hosting to repay TCC shares which are long overdue.
Also thanks to whoever created django-bitcoin, I no longer have to receive LR payments everything in BTC now (no middle men LR exchangers ftw)

**EDIT.. require 5 more btc for WMZ conversion to pay for hosting.
So total 10btc for 24hrs, same repayment deal

Debt repayment thread
by
zer0
on 12/06/2012, 03:09:13 UTC

Public thread to report repayment of debts owed to Patrick, Runlinux & TCC shares.
Basically due to some bullshit I forgot to pay off years ago (student debt that grew to $22k). This all happened when I was overseas and my awesome government decided to drain all my accounts, which is totally my own fault for forgetting I still had this outstanding, thought it was paid off years ago.

I am filing a Consumer proposal for it which in my country is a repayment plan but of course will pay off everything owed here Smiley

I have successfully prevented them from just seizing all my money again (i hope) so plan should go as follows:

- repayment of loans with interest can begin 21 Jun
- buying back all shares (with interest) can begin 05Jun and perhaps sooner

Will update when I get back. Nobody will be scammed, may even restart TCC but only if I have enough reserves this time to prevent losses (was also ripped by an LRUSD malaysian exchanger that folded, but attempting some sort of claim they setup but not hopeful)  and clear out all old debt.

Sorry to everybody with money stuck. We'll pay it all off asap and make it worthwhile.

It's hilarious that Apple portrayed itself in advertisements for years as the young rebel next to the staid IBM PC (for example, see this photo: http://wpcdn2.padgadget.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ipvpc.jpg).  Now, Apple is the establishment figure and Google/Android/Linux (and PC hardware upon which you can install any OS) is the young rebel.

Even worse, their arch 'nemesis' Bill Gates has been using his billions to eradicate polio and other disease around the world for free while Apple continues to employ child labor and generally be an evil corporation

Can't you just host the app outside the apple store? Or would they shut it down through lawsuit threats

I have daily limit 500 polish zlotys (PLN). 500 Polish zloty = 144.8605 U.S. dollars. How many BTC can i get, and who can do this?

Try Liqpay, as long as you have a polish phone # to go with the card, and you can log in somewhere to check the tiny blocked fee they temporary put on it for verification it'll work. Try btc-e.com they take cards through liqpay

Re: BTCChina - Highest trading volume ever today

so lets try and game theory this a bit more as to why this buying is occurring.

options:

1.  chinese are buying btc's so they can move their yuan out of china into a different fiat currency.

Yep, I believe there are controls in China/HK where you can only move $5,000 per day out of the country without a bunch of paperwork and business invoices. India is the same, btcindia.com would also be a major exchange should it ever be created

Does cavirtex let you withdraw that much if you get some sort of level 2 authorization (like gox)? Didn't see anything on the site if you trade more than 10k month

You have to secure the hell out of bitcoind. If you can't then just give new users pre generated bitcoin addresses in their welcome msg and do all transactions offline manually. Much safer

Or sit on jabber and take escrow

Good to hear you were able to resolve.  Was hoping to find a good alternative to MtGox.  Anyone else had any issues with them?

Waiting for a simple exchange 3 days now. Stuck in zendesk escalation hell lol
