what performance increase is expected compared to guiminer or cgminer?

with cheap electricity, it will take a while (4-5 months at least) until every GPU will become unprofitable (i have to pay 0,20 USD/kWH, so i guess i shut down my rigs in a month or two)

I wonder if anyone already compared the new beta version to previous releases.

If I have time (this weekend), i will check my 7850s and the 7970 and post the differences in Mhash/s with factory settings and stable overdrive as well. (i use both CG and guiminer)

So if someone has time for benchmarking (and does not mind the lost mBTCs while switching drivers), or even if already concluded something with the new beta driver, feel free to post it, thanks in advance!

As I recall the 5 Ghash/s unit had 30W TDP. Avalon units are 60 Ghash/s and 620W, so if long-term profitability matters (well, for BFL customers it is the last bastion of hope), they would be better compared to other solutions to date.
