Nevermind the PSU, good case would clean that mess. Today bought HAF 912, clean work, cooler temps compared to non-case option. Just waiting for second card, so I can upload photos from full rig.

My 3x5870 mining machine
using two power adapters (400W for motherboard+hdd and 600W for VGA adapters)
The case was small for third card, so I decided to cut some on the bottom with circular saw.

Nice slippers ;p And not so bad idea.

Every new version up to 07~ was faster than previous on both of my rigs. 11~ version however is faster for single 5850, but on 5870+5850 rig Im noticing minor slowdown (due to bigger deltas, means best performance is same, but it can go little lower). In adition primary GPU set '-f0' stopped to bottleneck other GPU (but changing from -f35 to -f0 didnt add any speed). After all tests I've changed version on single gpu rig and left old one on double gpu rig.

At what point is the fact given that PPS < Proportional?

It says that my part is 0.03% of the pools current speed... (~1200 MH/s of 4464 Gh/s)

The average time to solve a block is 24 minutes in the pool - so the pool produces about 3000 BTC in 24h.

Is the following math correct then?

0.03% of 3000 BTC is 0.9 BTC --- according to the PPS calculator on the site, I earn 0.69 BTC/day with ~1200 MH/s and PPS.

Small deviations aside, does that mean that proportional mining brings me 0.21 BTC/day more?  Huh

Lol, after 2 months I noticed, that those rewards are for PPS. Always thought that its estimated reward with XXX MHash/s with 0% luck...

2x 5850 actually. Firstly I thought its too oveerclocked, but Im already 30MHz lower on clock and it was working for last 2 weeks without problem (never before message 'badstatusline').Only thing changed since that time is switching to your pool and changing phatk kernel to some improved one from other thread by diapolo and moved rig to other room (cooler one). In addition Im getting those problems and messages only on second card.

Getting sometimes 'badstatusline' using POCLBM. Mostly after this card gets verification failed and Im just wasting time. Can you tell me if its pool related, connection related or personal settings related (clocks etc).

Have the same isssue. Settings around -f35 for main card (with monitor) and -f2 for second one are best for me, but ofc loosing about 20MHash compared to 2x singlecard-rigs.

Again, message 'Deepbit is temporaly unavailable' - which for me is equal to connection problems, but failover fails... Failover module must be more exact

Btw, not mining at your pool right now (servicing rigs), but my estimated rewards are positive (0.05~ right now). This doesnt affect confirmed rewards (Im not geting rewards for work I didnt make). Jut wanted to notice this issue.

that really sucks i had my rigs pointed to your pool the whole time and they were up every time the servers were up i guess ill switch to deepbit next time there are any issues

Why not just use a current version of poclbm, which automatically switches instantly when any issues appear?

Not any issue, just connection problems. Last night poclbm said I have wrong username or password (which was untrue) and it stuck for like 5h be4 I noticed and restarted it (then it started to work on those "wrong passwords".

Miner cant connect to deepbit, but it also cant connect to backup pool cuz "username or password not correct". They are correct and miner just stuck... Restarting results in going to backup pool or giving same message about login details.

BTW, can u add to circumstances to restart/go to backup

-when message 'verification failed...'
-when wrong username or password (cuz of pool problem or just user mistake)

Hmm, poclbm cant connect to your pool and its built-in hoping stucks, cuz it detects wrong username or password... Whats wrong? (username and password are same as on other pool, on which they work just fine)

SDK 2.1 working for 5h now.

Newest version seems to behave more stable (less delta max-min). Speed is about 0.5MHash higher, but it can be just impression.

Clue - '-f' value (rise it)

I have them at -f40 at first and -f2 on second card
