common cryptonote coins all have 15%-20% premine for bounties and maintenance.
it is not embarrassing for the dev team to announce the 5% premine.
keep in mind that this coin has bounties and reimbursement deducted from premine.

I was reacting to lack of informations from dev team, not suggesting that premine is necessarily bad. And i mentioned that reimbursment, exchanges and potential bounties need to be accounted for (BTW actual premine is ~5.43%, so its pretty close to 5% after reimbursment).

There is no info at all about premine in initial post - they just removed original "no premine" sentence without writing anything about premine, seems little slimy.

I see.  I wish this was communicated better.
This coin went from no premine before hardfork to about 5% premine without announcement anywhere in this thread.  As of right now, it still doesn't mention anything about premine on the original announcement post.

True. There is pretty big difference between coin with 0% premine or with 5% premine. While first one evolves more "naturally" with demand and community,  with premine developers have more power - either to make it or kill it

Yes. the daily emission for XAO is about 38400 = 80 (block reward) x 24 (hrs) x 20 (3 minute block time)
4,650,000 XAO equivalent to 4 months private mining.
4,650,000 XAO equivalent to ~5% premine. (total supply 84 million XAO)
Since there is a hardfork, the dev team have to pay old blockchain miners 1 month worth XAO. Also the dev team have to pay for listing.
i.e dev team only reserved ~3-4% of total coins for maintenance cost.
You can check that most new cryptonote coins now have over 10% premine.

Premine was 4 560 000, old chain was about 11 days of mining with little over 400 000 coins, so after reimbursment it leaves something like 4 100 000+ with developers, that is pretty close to 5% premine. Indeed there will be some costs with exchanges and maybe some bounties etc.

And while bigger premine is quite common,  even with 5% there should be little more details about projects  (why it isnt another copy-paste shoecoin?).

I have received all coins that were confirmed in the old wallet.

I had a few coins uncorfimed or pending in pools,  i wonder if they manage to recover it from old blockchain/pool log.

Premine was 4560000 from genesis block.

how long before it gets dumped  Undecided
About 10% of it should be used to reimburse coins from old blockchain, so it leaves little over 4m sitting with developers. But yeah, i would prefer significantly smaller premine - something under 1m (1% maybe?), that could be enough for reimbursement, exchanges and something for developers.

Hi!
I'm having an issue when I'm trying to solo mine throught the simplewallet, can someone help me?
"Error : wallet failed to connect to daemon (http://localhost:1811)"

Also, I am mining in https://alloy.luckypool.io/# and didn't received any coin even if it says "Total Paid: 1.020000000000 XAO". How many blocks do I have to wait to receive my coin?

Thank you from advance.
You you need to have alloyd running and synchronized. So run alloyd, wait till it synchronizes, then keep it running and start simplewallet.

Alloy's block reward algorithm:

Code:
(MaximumSupply - AlreadyGeneratedCoins) >> EmissionCurveFactor

In other words,

0 generated: 80 XOA
21,000,000 generated: 60 XOA
42,000,000 generated: 40 XOA
63,000,000 generated: 20 XOA
84,000,000 generated: 0 XOA

and so on...

All blocks found are rewarded with transaction fees included...

So block reward and circulating supply is approximately as on the following image?

No transactions fees accounted, emissionfactor  = 20
