In trying to get the wallet to sync (which it finally did after a few days of waiting), I switched the wallet connection to the default remote node. Now the wallet will not open at all.

Can anyone help me to get this back up and running?

I have my seed and wallet address. I have tried using the simplewallet to restore it to default but can't.

I'm using 1.2.3 on Mac.

Have tried posting on the telegram but no one can assist.

I am trying to mine using the wallet but it is taking a very long time to sync.

1. Do I need the wallet to be completely synced to start mining?

2. Is there any way to speed up syncing?
