This 100%.  If the idea is good enough, people will flock to be a part of it.  This is how it is with any organization from businesses, to governments, to religions.  The blockchain world is no different.

Agree with sentiment to diversity.

Split your investment: between ETH / BTC.  Save some also for other altcoins.  If this is a bubble and only some will make it out, having diversified holdings will insulate you better.
