hello IMX dreamers!!
im currently having a problem sending out my coins from the windows wallet! its not releasing the coins out of stake mode for some reason so my entire balance is staking....whats the problem you ask? well for some reason, when the coins are being staked in this particular wallet, they do not show up in your spendable balance (only shows up in staking balance and wallet total balance). therefore the wallet shows an available spending balance of ZERO! 0, nada, zip, zilch, NOTHING!

so: how do i stop staking coins so the wallet will allow me to spend the coins, or in my case send the coinage to another wallet??? i even tried using the "reserve" option on the options pull down menu - settings->options->main (tab) -> "Reserve amount not to be staked and is therefore spendable at any time." (yeah right)

this impact coin for me since the beginning has been nothing but problem after problem. definitely taught me alot about qt wallets LOL but i have better things to do than fighting with a wallet to send out my damn coinage! any insight would be nice thanks!!!

Hi ImpactDev..

I've been with IMX for a long time and have got good returns too.. Thanks..

I downloaded the windows wallet on a new computer through https://mega.nz/897d85b5-6929-4533-b6ae-41723176d288
Now this wallet is showing offline continuously with 0 active connections.

Now the wallet on my old laptop works fine. Its just this new laptop that I am trying it on that shows offline.

I do not remember what exactly I did when I started with IMX - many months back.
Do I need to add any node? If yes what exactly do I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers..
Pushkar

Pushkar, i hope this works for u as it worked for me besides having a problem sending out my coins from the wallet! its not releasing the coins out of stake mode for some reason...ugh...

-exit out of wallet

-copy the node info below, make a new *.txt file using notepad and name it "impact.conf" (no *.txt extension)

rpcuser=imx_user_name
rpcpassword=imx_pw
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

 then save this file in the directory \\Users\PC_NAME\AppData\Roaming\impact\impact.conf

run wallet again and now it should connect to like 8 peers and start to download the blockchain.

hope this helps!!

 FYI: im on here because im trying to send some IMX back to the exchange to set up sell orders for any future pumps and my entire balance is staking....whats the problem you ask? well for some reason, when the coins are being staked, they do not show up in your spendable balance (only shows up in staking balance and wallet total balance). how do i stop staking coins so i can simply send them to another wallet??? i even tried using the "reserve" option from the pull down menu - settings->options->main (tab) -> "Reserve amount not to be staked and is therefore spendable at any time." Re: CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official] Developments & Discussions

    ^^wallet might need a few restarts to get through the tough spots

restarted half-a-dozen times and still stuck  Cry

Just uploaded a new bootstrap file for you. Please check the OP link to verify this as an official CannabisCoin distributed file.

Download and check the new file*:

You can check the zip file before unpacking it with the check sums:
md5sum: c8fe370259ed0e6dcabf3541ec491704
sha256sum: 7172c251c2c134792b374a6786686a2fee43b29e917f8c15f930a331928faad4

You'll need these once you unpack the zip file:

bootstrap.dat file, created at Mon 27 Jun 2016 10:34:24 AEST
md5sum: 1f15bb77a2b9df8729c832bb24ed5e9f
sha256sum: c3054d913a5e6996891ca8d52861bfdf3f3440b0c71beaca246f05a43a998895

Once you are happy with the integrity of the file unzip it to ~/Library/CannabisCoin and then restart the wallet. The wallet will prefer the bootstrap.dat file and load the chain from disk before renaming the file bootstrap.old and continuing to sync with the network. You may delete the file bootstrap.old or leave it if you have sufficient hard drive space. Renaming the file bootstrap.dat and restarting the wallet is all that's required if you ever need to download the blockchain again for some obscure reason. Make sure you back up your wallet.dat file once you have coins, everything else can always be recovered.

*You should verify this file before using it. To do so on a Mac open a terminal window (open spotlight & type "term" or in Finder double click ~/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app) and type the command "md5 path_to_file" (tip: you can type md5 and leave a space, then drag the file to check into the terminal window) and check that the response matches that listed above. To use shasum type "shasum -a 256 path_to_file". Either of these will give you reasonable certainty that the file has not been tampered with or otherwise corrupted.

Feel free to PM me if you have any further difficulties.

[edited for spelling]

OP link has been updated.

Hello: Dev's...WTF?!?!?!?! update the freaking bootstrap more regularly!!! this ridiculous "sync" more like suck, will take a damn year to complete...smh

Re: Internet connection speed for mining.

What is the lowest enough speed for mining?

Internet connection speed will not impact your mining process. This is depending on the number of machines you are using for mining or the number of clients hashing. Look up the stratum (open source client-server) protocol, and you can find out about how much bandwidth each client will consume for the process.

What you said is correct but the main point is that what ever internet connection to be used but it should be stable one because if the connection is not stable then the the reward block cannot process fully and it will be cancelled so like this you wont be able to earn any thing. So stable connection is the more important in the mining process. Like what other user told 128 kbps is also enough to run the mining until the connection is more stable.

i beg to differ.... i though any internet connection would be fine so i went with ethernet over powerline 1.2 gbps wall adapters and an 8 port gigabit switch to run eventually 6 rigs. i was initially impressed with the ethernet over power, pretty effin convenient and cheap i must say, with an impressive dl speed of about 35 mbps and upload of about 12 mbps (on a 150 mbps service) ...both numbers should be more than enough.... i spent DAYS trying to figure out why my 7 x 8gb EVGA GTX 1070 SC was mining ethereum @ +/-25 Mh/s when i should've been closer to 200 Mh/s! many many hours wasted then i said "maybe its the internet connection, naa everyone says it doesnt matter much...o well lets get a wifi dongle and see"! (LOL) same rig now mining ether @ 212 MH/s!!!! so the internet in this case did matter and if anyone knows why my hash rate was effected do drastically using ethernet over power please advise!
