It's projects like this that have a good chance of gaining mass main stream adoption.
Having a dutch backed company behind this project is a big plus.
The dutch are some of the most open minded people in europe and are very quick to adapt, which automatically makes main stream adoption some what easier.

Shame about the launch, But the team has added 40% new code. So problems were bound to arise sooner or later and problems are there to be solved which the Dev team is busy doing as we speak. On the plus side i am happy i was able to pick up some more cheap coins.
I have faith in Syscoin and i am certain that i will have a great ROI.
To the Dev Team- Ignore all the moaning and just do your thing

The download link on sys coin's home website is gone. When can we download the new wallet?
NOTE for windows.. I have uploaded a conf file with two nodes.. Also updated the zip file (wallet) with this conf.
If you are having issues.

2. Clean out data folder.. Leave wallet.dat there
3. Add the syscoin.conf file to the data folder.
4. Restart wallet and LEAVE it open..

I did what you said above. My wallet is fully synced and i am on block 2191.
