That's not a mistake if you are just going to hold it until it reaches back $500-$1,000. Why are you going to sell at loss? are you sure that you are good with cutting losses? I also hold ETH and even bought during high price than yours but I'm still fine and cool with it. I'm long term with ETH so I'd like to say that just be calm and hold until the market goes up again. You don't need to rush if you really want to get some profit in the future, don't look with the current price and ignore it, just HODL.

You should not worry and panic with ETH. Just be more patient and continue believing in ETH. I still have the feeling that the market will return at any time and ETH will be at $ 700 $ 800. But I do not think it can return to the $ 1000 mark at the end of the year.
