entering my hashrate on the site, the site is calculating almoat a double more than I am getting from the pool...

...Yeah, I was contributing 7Gh/s with my Asic's and was getting around 50% as well. I switched back, to Litecoin. Then a day later I thought I would try one more time...nope, same thing. I got to wondering, theoretically, can a pool steal half of your hashing power? As in, could some of your hashing profits be diverted into another payout address belonging to the diverter? I'm not accusing any particular pool, but it got me thinking anyways...
