Bounties - you have to promote projects in various ways, like signature campaigns, social media campaigns, translations, blog campaigns and etc.
Airdrops are basically free giveaway of coins/tokens.

You can see it like that yes , basically bounty's is paid ''work'' and airdrops just gives free coins/tokens without doing much or anything.
