It all depends on how long the investment is planned, because someone who can invest for a short time is forced to sell their BTC when the price falls to reduce the maximum losses.

Agreed, as an investor we should know the pros and cons before we invest so if you are afraid to invest to a business when you have doubt much better not to invest and when you are a risk takers invest an amount which you can afford to lose. For me investing in crypto is not for a risk taker because we all know that it gives potential profits.
