Yes this is true, for the newbies you need a software wallet to start with a small amount by investing token/coins, but if you have $1000 and up, you can use hardware wallet like Trezor wallet, nano ledger, etc... But right now if you want to invest tokens/coins you you've a a lot of choices and it depends on what is the best rpeference on you to pick... My suggestion are:
1. Bitcoin (btc), Long term investment
2. eth, Long term investment
3. neo, Long term investment
4. altcoins, and Long term investment
5. trade.io (TIO). Long term investment
