Maar tot slot nog de vraag waarom zou ik bij jullie moeten traden? De USP's op jullie site zijn niet bepaald uniek. Lage trading fees, cold storage, een welkomstbonus en traden binnen enkele seconden kan ik op veel andere sites en doe ik ook al. Het laatste punt, 100% Dutch, vind ik nog moeilijk te plaatsen. Er onder staat dat jullie voldoen aan Nederlandse en Europese richtlijnen. Als er al richtlijnen zijn verschillen deze vaak nog van land tot land en zijn deze ook vaak nog volop in ontwikkeling. Ik snap dat jullie vertrouwen willen wekken met dit punt, maar zoals het er nu beschreven staat is het voor mij nog veel te algemeen en nietszeggend. Is dit anders dan bijvoorbeeld een Kraken of een Binance dat zich in Malta gaat settelen?

I am well aware my dutch is not perfect, and thus i tend to not communicate in written form in dutch.

We do indeed claim to be 100% Dutch and this remains true given that everything surrounding this exchange is truly dutch except the website language. We are actively working on this (This page being the first Dutch page and only released a couple days ago) We will be introducing a full array of languages in due time, however, given the crypto-world is predominantly English, we deliberately decided to develop and release in Engilsh first.

The questions around the regulations is very very complex topic indeed. Currently we are making use of one of the biggest yet specialized lawyer firms in NL to research the regulations on a per-country basis, which is the primary reason we have only made our services available in a few countries (NL, DE, BE, FR, ZA). These countries have been cleared and we adhere to every regulation that counts for a standard FIAT-exchange (like plus-500 for example) with the only exception being the registration as a true exchange, which not a single crypto-exchange has as it will simply not be permitted (They are skeptical to cryptocurrency as a whole).

So you ask, in that regard, what makes us different from Binance and Kraken? We do not hide in an offshore country where the regulations are questionable or non-existent. We make sure that we adhere to the laws so that when they kick in, they do not cause our exchange to be shutdown by the government as so many exchange will be in the future, this is all in an effort to protect our customers.

In the future we are planning to have the public pick an auditing firm to have us fully audited every 3 months, so that the public is 100% certain that there is no black-hat activities going on behind the scenes such as artificial volume bloating and insider trading. (many other exchanges do this to appear more active than they are and thus attract more traders). I am not aware of any other exchange which is willing to go through such a hefty process by choice. However we do believe this should be the standard, not the exception.

dank voor je uitgebreide antwoord. Ik denk dat je wat betreft regulering inderdaad een goed en (bijna?) uniek punt te pakken hebt. Ik denk voor de lange termijn een erg goede strategie. Mocht je er niet van op de hoogte zijn, QUOINE probeert via een soortgelijke strategie te opereren. Zij zijn volledig gereguleerd in Japan met hun handelsplatformen Qryptos en Quoinex, welke straks samengaan in Liquid. Maar goed, zij opereren vanuit Japan wat over het algemeen toch bekend staat als wat progressiever op dit gebied. In hoeverre dit land van vestiging nog van invloed kan zijn op de toekomst durf ik niet te zeggen. Tot dusverre hebben wij als EU/NL burgers nog weinig beperkingen, maar lopen we denk ik best wat risico's waarvan de gevolgen in de nabije toekomst nog wel eens duidelijk gaan worden.
