Then removing the btc address and return to payouts, edit settings, and everything is set to no, but payout addresses can not be entered, and and auto exchange option only gives No option. I complete the update and system messages indicate all currencies have auto-exchange disabled. I update btc address and all currencies again have auto-exchange enabled. I would like to turn off the auto exchange, at least for a little while.

When disabling auto-exchange from Yes to No the value for auto payout is -1. Change that to 0 then disable it. If you leave it at -1 then auto-exchange will still be enabled.
