that's a good idea, but don't forget to measure if you will be able to take GOOD care of him? Walks/running (if dog is bigger), poo picking, and the beginning will be very hard. You will have to train it no to bark randomly, not to bite or chew on certain stuff.

About helping to find one: it depends totally on you! big/small, long-haired/short-haired, etc.

All in all an animal in the house is a great way to make it cozier but it's BIG responsibility as well. If you do it, take one from an animal shelter, make one more happy dog!
