Firstly i want to know which country do you live in. Because some big and popular exchanges are restricted in many countries such huobi global, OkEx, coinbase those are the best example. I use Binance is the higly reliable exchange you can use without no issues and no need to pass KYC. Secondly, Huobi global is the more flexibility and secure exchange i think. Bittrex and Kraken also big exchanges with real volumes but Bittrex KYC process is something embracing.

You correctly noticed that the country of residence matters. Each country has its own characteristics and this affects the choice of the exchange's user. You must proceed from your capabilities and wishes. There is no single right solution to this. I read reviews and see everyone praising their exchange that they use. I would recommend first of all to make your own choice. But for this you need to have experience. The easiest way is to use someone else's experience.
