On my own opinion it is not just about buying every time because if you bought bitcoin at higher price and bitcoin goes down you will absolutely lose your emotions and sell at low, this is what really happening with beginners and amateurs. I would suggest that learn trading and you will know every crypto move so you won't lose huge amount of money.
