I think it would be great if responsible coins (like EMC2) could skip the 'middle-currency' (BTC) so that our coin has more of an opportunity to move more independently.

Certainly, in fact as soon as the 4 corners of the matter is discussed we should be sufficiently informed to present our case as a united front (the EMC2 intercoin committee and HYPER).

I don't care about BTC price volatility, sure BTC is here to stay. Armis, really good idea to "break the chain with BTC". I believe if the board keeps this hard work, Einsteinium will be in top 3 of altcoins with its robust foundation on "donating to science" which makes it different in cryptocoin world. As HYPER said there will be so many coins wiped out in the long run and only a few will survive.
