As to specific services I'd highlight https://libertyvps.net and http://www.qhoster.com/vps.html which are good services with the advantage that they accept cryptocurrencies as payment method.

Thanks I have tried qhoster before and did not have any problems with it but would not use it on anything with large amount of funds on it. Anyone here ever use amazon or have known someone who has and had a good experience.
