Bee's update is so open ended that it could be an upfront payment, or deductible from what is owed.

As long as there is no new information about the costs all is speculation. Is there a list with the most relevant coins that the Gen2 would work on? Seeing a sudden spike on hashrate with those coins could be a suggestion Chris is doing something there.
