Then, with the only file in the roaming folder being the renamed opalcoin.conf file I started the wallet which synced for far longer than on previous attempts and with a lot more connections (26 at the end) and, getting as far as '175175 blocks remaining' before the dreaded M/soft Visual C++ Runtime Library message appeared and the wallet crashed.
I'll try again later.
Hi 4emily,
could you list the microsoft Visual C++ Redistribuable package you have ? (in programs and features) ?
Do you have Antivir Pro ?
When you right-click on opalcoin.conf and choose property: does win7 tells you it is a .conf file ?
is your Opalcoin-Qt folder (where you should have opalcoin.exe ) is in the "Downloads" folder ?
If yes please cut & paste Opalcoin-Qt folder on you Desk.
then, save your wallet.dat and your opalcoin.conf erase all the files and folder in C:\Users\~\AppData\Roaming\opalcoin
then paste your opalcoin.conf on it and start your wallet.
