You can make or lose BTC or not-BTC, it does not depend on currency you play with but on your luck and patience. Personally I managed to make money on BTC gambling, the question is rather about quantity. 
This seems to echo or sit well with what EvilPanda was saying. Most folks who do win tend to win small for just the reasons he outlined.
I have to agree with that you gotta have the balls to keep going while on a streak and not think, oh that is good enough but that is also the way to get hooked on it unfortunately because then you get a taste of the big time and want that same win whenever you play, which is where you lose long term obviously chasing. I just cashed out a small 0.05btc a minute ago but rather cash out than do what i described above i must be different because i don't really want that big win to always be looking for that again, slowly wins the race. To answer op very few has made proper money from it and those who do better hope they are playing a legit site where they can actually cash out lol
