I'm fairly certain anyone can add themselves to the 'bankruptcy' creditors list without paying the 'spearhead's lawyer'.

The lawyer knows that Alpha is a high-risk target; meaning they might NOT have any funds so the laywer will not work on a "fee out of the winnings" basis.
