I have the same issue with the coins not arriving when importing the key.

my key contains no spaces, is 52 characters long, the wallet is fully synced and the wallet isnt encrypted (its a fresh install, will encrypt when the coins are back)

How long is the import supposed to take? I left it for 3 hours but nothing has happened. I restarted the wallet and the new payment address was there but no coins?

Hello, do this in a new wallet (if you already did and not let the program work would give you a code-4 error)
typed on the console: importprivkey XXXXXXXprivatekeyXXXXXXX enter.
if the enter key does not give you error and the importprivkey greens is that all is well.
Let it work for a few minutes and type repairwallet.
You should also turn green but do not give any message for several hours.
To me it took me about 6 hours to give me the coins and may be more depending on many factors.
One tip, keep them well, CENT is unique
