They said they would be taking down their webservers and re-building them from scratch, so technically their site shouldn't have even been up. If someone got access to their hosting to redirect the site, then the smart thing would have been to report and have that shut off as well and/or change the information and login info there.

That means if they were hacked - the hackers shouldnt even have had the opportunity to post all the account details on the website. Then again, that is assuming they did the responsible thing and took down their webservers and reset all their info like they said they were.

To many contradictions to make me trust what they say. Let's see if they prove us wrong.

There was no hack or as you said the site would have been shut down immediately and all security holes fixed etc. This was the owners running away with the money and they will be killed most likely.
