Because they can use them on own running Account so they cant get blocked or the password cant be changed from the Owner.

I've bolded out the part that you misunderstood.

There are some methods on getting Spotify premium for 3 months for free. Technically they are their accounts, and the password won't be changed. The method can be used over and over again.

After the 3 months for free, I guess you can't extend it anymore with the same method so you will just need to create a new account. That's why these codes can be used to extend the premium subscription of their old account not a new one.
