Do I sync from scratch or just continue on ? As I read pools had to be on 0.3.5 before upgrading to 0.3.6 due to something john-connor mentioned.

Just download new version from http://vanillacoin.net/wallets.php
And let it run. You dont need to sync from scratch, it will continue from a point where it was synced before.



Thanks guys the process seemed to have worked I am also eligible for the node incentive but damn the 10K VNL I cannot afford ! I only have a smidgen over 3K Cheesy

Lower it to 5K & it might be better for VanillaCoin adoption.

you don't need any collateral for another week or three, kicks-in @ blk 220,000, i think. and i'd like to understand why the amount is so high also. Mammoth and Supercoin have decentralized coin mixers, colatteral for that system is 500 coin.
