maybe he is not familiar with bitcoin and by 6000 bits he was meaning to say 6000BTC which sounds even more unrealistic.

Pretty sure he does mean to say 6000 bits. His app page on Moneypot (https://www.moneypot.com/apps/581-kevdice) shows the site has 6451 bits wagered.
