Plus here in the UK not many rape your wife DNA will catch them .Does this happen a lot in America
you get robbed and then they rape your wife.
you will get some cases every so often but very rare in the uk ..I mean does this happen every day or week in america..Because if it does i am glad i live in the UK..I suppose i would carry a gun if this is the case..

Yeah, some places I have been you WOULD carry legally. Some places you'd carry even if illegally. Best thing to do is simply move, of course, but that's not always possible.

But do me a favor and don't talk about how nice and safe the UK is. It may be safe where you live, but some places you wouldn't come out alive....

Regardless, I view the UK as an experiment in gun control. That's similar to some of the USA states being experiments in gun control/legal concealed carry. We sure don't need people arguing one-size-fits-all on this issue.

From the "experiments," 20 years or so, it's definitely looking like legal ownership and concealed carry is safer for everyone.

i live in the worst city for guns and drugs in the uk i know a few who have been shot dead..
but if they could buy them on the street corner shop loads more would die for sure ..were i live 13 year olds shoot each other ..but believe me if they could get them on every street corner shop loads more would die..
This is why i am asking to ban them but also we need a law where if you carry a gun you get 25 years for carrying it
and you never get out for shooting someone even if you don.t kill them you never get out of jail for shooting them ..
kids get 5 years they do 2 years in jail and there free no matter how many times they get caught with a gun they do 2 years..
how many will carry guns now..not many..
at the end of the day if no one had a gun then no one would get shot..
we need as a planet to make it law that in public life if your caught with a gun you get 25 years just for carrying it and you do the full 25 years not half all of it..
sounds harsh but having no gun in your life and i mean every ones life.. no one as a gun ..then what problem will it cause to not have one..A GUN IS TO KILL..if a young kid or old person carries a gun then is intentions is to kill..
no ifs or buts.. because if someone pulls a gun on you or tries to rob you your intention is to kill with that gun to protect yourself
So with my law not many will want to carry a gun because they loose 25 years of there life.
if i lived in America i would carry a gun only because so many got one i need one
But if you asked me if my country said total ban and 25 years in jail for carrying a gun or lets make it legal to own a gun i would say ban them..
this is the only way to stop the criminals to give hefty sentences for carrying a gun ..
if no one is allowed a gun and then you carry one then you broke the law so now you go to jail for 25 years because your intention was to kill ..

The problem with your wonderful no-gun idea is, how do we enforce the no-gun law on the crooks who get the guns anyway?

I mean, with no guns, the bobbys wouldn't even have them. You could get a bunch of bobbys to jump a crook before he could shoot them all dead, but he would get a bunch of them.

Are most of the bobbys good cops? Do you trust them to have the only guns? Will the few bad bobbys die in the gun battles with the good bobbys?

No! Rather, make it a law that everybody is required to open carry when he is off his own property and out in the public. This way the crooks will be scared to mess with anybody. And the few crazies who aren't afraid, will be put down by the citizens using their guns to protect themselves. In addition, knife and club deaths will all but disappear.

Of course, this will need to be implemented carefully, what with all those British pansies who don't understand guns anymore.
