This website is not meant to replace Unitus.info, which is still up and running fine. Unitus.ninja is an auxiliary site which is targeted more towards beginners and people who aren't involved in crypto. There are detailed mining instructions that hopefully can be followed by anyone even if they've never mined before.

Nice! Background is kinda intense, imo. Maybe use like lighten the color saturation of the background or put some alpha in it or something so it's not so intruding (on the actual content of the page).

Yeah, I guess you could say it looks amateurish. Either that, or like a child made it? But other than that...

Maybe I intended the bright colors to attract younger users. Or maybe I intended it ironically, to attract hipster users who like ugly things on purpose. Bet you didn't consider that.
