That is one reason that fixed pay campaigns with an escrow help to ensure the reliability of the service as it ensures that their is a budget for that month set in advance regardless of what Bitcoin does.
And on the off chance that a campaign manager defaults someone will pay it out.
There's another issue with Coinut campaign. When I joined I thought that there are some funds escrowed with devthedev, it says so in the first post of this thread and also in campaign thread. But people are saying that's no longer the case (he probably held some funds during the initial period only).
I hope someone from default trust list will step in and leave the campaign handlers (wangxinxi + izanagi) appropriate trust feedback, if they don't handle the issue properly soon.
