It's not ironic, unless you were spamming with the signature. Even hilariousandco is wearing the PrimeDice signature and he's one of the most active spam-hunters on the forum.

mexxer was pumping out something around 40-50 posts a day when bit-x had no limits on posts, so i guess you could say its ironic / hypocritical.

But high post counts per day != spam. Take a look at Quickseller for example, he posts a huge amount of posts per day and seems to be one of the most knowledgeable people on the forums. His posts definitely aren't considered spam.
