Traders are blindly panic selling coins with wallets in maintenance (about 1/2 the coins) to move funds out. And many websites/indexes are using this data for market metrics. For many smaller coins, this means prices are being hammered as people scramble to find working wallets to cash out of the exchange. This is worse than a 51% attack!

So as the exchange crumbles, many altcoins also being taken down with the ship. If Cryptsy cares about the altcoin community, it must halt trading now.

What reason is there to think RIPTSY cares about anything other than running with people's coins at this point in time? Cause a few former employees have come out and said cause Vern is a good guy? C'mon this thing is dying.
