If you don't trust lending on the site or to other forum users, you can take a look at https://poloniex.com/lending that have a dedicated section to invest in lending with different % rates.

A lot of loan offers but literally no demand, is it always like this?
Also, I'm not sure why people think it's possible to make 200% return short term with Bitcoin when it's not really possible with fiat in the first place.

I don't think anyone answered this... but I've done some lending on that site there is no demand ever just by the nature of the site. If you throw out an interest rate that is .001% less than the lowest one it will get scooped up within minutes.
