That is the way I'm leaning - keep the exchanges and the pools happy, plus the fork the explorer is on isn't moving at all.
btw I transfered 20 btb to Bter but it never showed - so they might not be on the same fork as cryptopia and ispace.

I have had success mining and receiving payouts at hash-to-coins.com. But haven't sent any to an exchange since Cryptsy.

I might try the solo mining thing above. i like bfgminer but never could get it to solo mine with my asics. i see cgminer is used above.

I don't understand why bitbar keeps forking. Whats different in the code from other coins that don't act in the manner bitbar has?

Code wise, it's the same as just about every other crypto out there. You can basically cut and paste from one to the other.
I think the biggest problem is the spread (or lack of) of hashing power. We could use some more pools.
