Anonymity makes it easier to make comments people wouldn't do in person. Or when everyone knows who they are. Don't think that is a bad thing though. People can be nasty. Not being able to say nasty things won't change that. Or what they do when they think they can get away with it. So it's better if everyone knows about it. And can interact with those people in the open and maybe try to change their minds.

Information flow would be a lot slower, that's one of the big differences between today and the pre-internet world. It's so easy to get information about anything, and it's one of the things I love about the internet.

We would probably be in ww3 by now without the internet. Or some other way for people to inform themselves.

People can do that now too. Without the internet we would use the phone instead. Or other convenient way unless we really wanted to meet others in person.
