Even though, There are plenty of people selling these and other illegal items for USD and cash, it's still unfair to blame the currency for the acts people using it are doing.

Exactly, it is the fault of the ones using it for illegal activity rather than bitcoin's or general bitcoin population, These people are under the laws of there countries and bitcoin has nothing to do with it more than how money "USD" has a relation to crimes.
