yes, someone knows. Nothing is lost. You might have to go through various other versions maybe.

whatever you do, backup those original binaries.

All the simplewallet binaries should theoretically be able to communicate with the new daemon, so just try the most recent simplewallet binaries until you can open your wallet files.
