Yeah they will gamble for fun and just to spend time, as rich people would surely love to visit physical casino to enjoy the fun of gambling physically rather then gambling it online.

But for fun and entertainment gambling is not the only place remain in the earth, there are a number of other places of entertainment also, they should have to join some sports or there are some other games available with which you can get entertained. So why they are spending their money to lose.

Not necessarily do people always lose while gambling, some do it for fun just because they are lucky sometimes...
Some do it as a hobby, but this is not a good thing, as hobby can become an addiction and due to it, you are destined to lose in the end...
When it's fun-based, you can leave it anytime because it's easy for you...
