I think that the media can greatly influence how people feel about bitcoin. For example, news (link below) that have a strong opinion that bitcoin is used only by hackers, criminals and drug dealers will leave a negative first impression for the person that knew nothing about bitcoin. And then when he hears anything else about bitcoin he will remember this first bad impression.

Nevertheless, any publicity is good publicity )) As people dig deeper they will find out the truth for themselves without the media's biased "help".
