I'm pretty sure that there are still some time that you'll get alone, bored and has nothing to do. If the gambler can control the urge to play then he will definite can do it.

Yes, the more gamblers more accessible to the public the more people get addicted to it, I see this as an opportunity to enjoy while we are at the comfort of our own house but to some it may be the stepping stone that will lead them in ruining their lives. If you find gambling bad for you then stay away from it by not participating in any gambling forms.
