The address changes for privacy, but you can re-use the same address over and over again.

This is true as I have used breadwallet for just over 6 months now and it changes every two weeks or so. But I get bitcoins to the old address even though it says is using another one as the primary address.

Your receive address changes whenever it gets used, but old addresses always work.
